Fished both days of the KBF Trail at Pineview Reservoir in Utah and unfortunately did not do well day one, but day two I figured out a pattern that worked and took home 8th. The fish were bedding, but unfortunately the weather was not cooperating to allow me to sight fish. So I went with my trusty blind bed technique...a drop shot with the bait only about 4" off the weight. This keeps the bait low and in the fish's face. I caught just shy of 20 fish, but unfortunately only managed to find 4 that were keepers. Though I won't complain as I was the largest non-limit, and there were only seven limits.

Points
The crappie are in full on spawn and are willing to hit any small jigs under a bobber. Try the inlet to spring creek and points leading out towards deep water. Smallmouth bass and Muskie are beginning to become active as well and are feeding on crappie fry. Try a ned rig and swimbaits for these species.

The bass are moving in spawning at the moment. Skip casting texas rigged senko's to the base of the flooded tree's is a good way to find them. Stay shallow, and look for them in the backs of coves and pockets. There are some big smallies to be caught this time of year.
