It is a super fun time on the Tennessee River right now, the big ones are bitng and it is pretty easy fishing. All it takes is to go out and throw an Alabama rig at current breaks and you should have a great day on the water.

Lake dropped 5 degrees since last weekend and today was post front conditions. Bite was tough, lots of chasers and few takers. Managed a few LMB live scoping brush piles and throwing an A rig. Had to slow roll it. No smallie takers today.

Fished for 6 hours today and managed 7 keeper LMB. Best 5 went about 12lbs. Not too bad of a day. All came cranking a 3XD in shizzle pattern. Most came off laydowns and stumps and one came off a grass line edge. Water is at least 5-6ft below pool.

Post- Spawn the smallmouth sit right under the dam and the tailrace. Drive as far up into it as you can and position your boat on the sides in the current breaks. Heavy spinnerbaits and large swimbaits work well pulling them through the current.
