Fished a tournament sat 12/9, caught 9 keepers on A-rig with Keitech swim baits. I used a 7’4” lews med/hvy rod and lews speed reel, my best 5 weighed 16lbs, finished 3rd

Throwing a Plopper type bait around submerged grass can be a lot of fun, and Pickwick is one of the best places to do it. Fish a grass line till you get a bite, where there is one fish there will be more. Keep your eye out for bait too!

This was one of the best days I have had on the water. We were fishing main lake points and humps at the mouths of creeks. A Carolina rig was the hot technique for the day.

Moderate current was causing the fish to set up around boulders to ambush shad. We were fishing around small main lake points with a chunk rock and gravel mix, leading out to submerged boulders. We caught fish several different ways but the Missile Magic Worm produced the best bites.

17 catches in 6-1/2 hours, missed or lost a few more! Bite slowed when the current slowed. Most bites close to shoreline but a few deep.

Skip the jig along the rocks and drag it. We caught some big fish up there and every fish that hit the jig was a solid fish. Bouncing it works the best on 15lb flurocarbon.
