The bite was light on bigger Plastics. Switched to the 4" Worm and bam! Caught smallies and large mouth.

Fished the WKFC August tournament on Pelican Lake. It was overcast, rainy, and windy. I tried finding fish offshore, with no luck. I ended up grinding docks for a few hours to produce a limit. Got two decent bass, and never managed to cull the three 11inchers. This is the toughest I've ever seen this lake fish.

The Rage Bug was the hot bait for me last Friday. The longest 5 totalled 87.25".

Fished the WKFC August tournament, and struggled... I found fish, but couldn't convert them, and it is 100% my fault. When I ran out of the roboworm hooks that I have been using all year, I decided to head to my local store for more. They were out of them (big surprise lol), so I picked up some VMC wacky hooks. They might be great if you fish them for a bit and learn how to keep fish pinned, but all 15 fish I hooked on tourney day were fought back to the kayak, and then popped off right next to me. In to the trash they went! Learn from my mistake: Don't run out of your proven gear. Don't switch to something you've never used when money is on the line. Order. In. Bulk.

Skipped a wacky rigged general under the docks and pulled out 4 of my 5 fish that way. Two of the fish were 18+ inchers so it is a quality bass lake.

Rock Pile
Went out twice to pre-fish for an upcoming tournament, and found success (numbers and size) both times fishing deep rockpiles off the north shore dead sticking a ned rig.
