Water temps seem still be a little warm for that major fall bite. Put numerous fish in the 3-5 pound range in the boat. All fish seemed to be tight to the bottom in 15-25 feet and dead sticking the drop hot would get them to eat it. No huge strikes it would just get heavy and they would all come up with muddy belly's.

Have to spend some time running the numerous points and look for grass in 7-12 feet that is still alive. You can use a crankbait or your electronics to find it. Usually it will have schools of bait close to the edges. Burn a crankbait over the top and if it gets hung give it a quick snap. They would hit as hit ticked the grass or on the snap. Numerous bass in the 3-5 pound class were brought to the boat along with a few Tiger Muskies.

8-10 feet of water in and around points was the ticket. Boat position was crucial as you had to cast parallel to the drop and keep your bait right in there faces. Casting up onto the point or off the point into deep water yielded nothing.

Points leading to shallow spawning flats are where the fish are currently holding prior to spawn. Casting from the flat off the point produced numerous fish in the 3-5 pound range. Try different colors and cadences until they commit and eat it.

Pretty straightforward. Fish were hitting this on a slow-roll. Caught a few roamers but the majority were in weeds that were still present from last year(sparse). Fish were shallow too. All were caught in 5 feet or less.
