The bass were holding near deeper water, I would throw my hover rig close to shore and twitch it back to my boat. The bass were hitting the hover rig when it would stop twitching.

I launched in Fulton NY and targeted rip rap banks. I used a Berkley Hit Worm and rigged it shaky head style. The fish seemed to be holding in current near rip rap.

I located the smallmouth in moving water near rocky banks. The smallmouth were feeding on crawfish in 4-6ft of water.

The smallmouth were holding close to bottom near rip rap and they were feeding on crawfish.

The smallmouth were very active in the current near rocks. The two main baits I used to put 15 smallmouth in the boat were, the Berkley Finisher and the Z-man TRD. The smallmouth were in 3-6ft of water.
