We found fish in 15-20 feet of water on secondary point and steep rocky walls. Most of our fish were caught in clear water on shakey heads, swimbait, and jigs. Bass were still prespawn. Water temperature ranged anywhere from 58-63

Caught 1 largemouth and 1 hybrid slow rolling a 6” mag draft on the outside of buck brush in 5 foot of water. Both choked the bait

Fish were spawning but the wind made it difficult to sight fish. Threw a chatterbait on flats that had rock piles throughout and anywhere the wind was blowing into it was better. Also got into some whites and hybrids with the chatterbait.

Slow rolling across rip rap banks that lead to chunk rock. 45 degree banks seemed to be key. Feel the bait hit off the bottom and deflections caused reaction bites. Worked with smallmouth, largemouth, and spots.

All the way up in the creeks on the upper arms of bennets bayou. You can catch 50 to 100 pan fish in a couple of hours. Throwing a variety of rebel teeny wee craws and poppers. Throw anywhere close to big boulders that are submerged in the creek and you should catch a panfish or small bass.

Large Mouth Bass starting to pull up and stage on secondary points. Water temp was 50-52 degrees on March 23rd. You will catch bass anywhere from 1 to 15 ft of water. The deep bite is all but over at this time. Crank baits, jigs have been working well for me. Good Luck!

Finished our first Yak event of the year in 2nd by doing a few things caught a few throwing a wiggle wart up super shallow, caught two bigger fish on a swimbait and culled out all my smallest fish with a jig. They’re starting to pull up shallow and getting ready to spawn so get in as much fishing in as you can.
