Conditions were overcast, light wind with a low pressure system rolling through the area. Started off the morning at first light on the water, trolling slowly around emergent grass lines. My partner and I were both throwing top water which yielded no bites. We cruised around the the reservoir junk fishing and targeting fish on emergent grass lines, lilypads, overhanging brush, and main lake points. We caught fish on everything we had tied up except for top water. The MVP of the day was the VMC Tokyo rig with a sweet beaver. Working baits slowly in the thicker Lilypads yielded a few 3.5lbers and more fish between 1.5-2.5 range. Overall a very fun day and a decent bag of about 14lbs.
