The bass were in the thick lily pads near the causeway. In the morning, I was pitching to SMALL gaps in the pads, not the wide open gaps. Pitch on top of a pad and slowly wiggle your bait until it falls into the gap. In the afternoon, they seemed to shut down or move to the deeper grass
