Found ledges/dropouts in Mississippi back water pools. Dragging the megabass sleeper craw in a muddy copper was getting it done. As soon as it hit that drop off you were getting bit. Got me 2nd place in my Tuesday nighter.

Most of our fish came on laydowns in the last 1/3 of dead end sloughs with 3-4 of water. We also caught a few on swim jigs around isolated shoreline weeds in the same areas.

Fished the second club tournament of the year. Honestly we were never on the right caliber of fish to contend. The falling water moved our fish and we didn’t adjust properly. The fish we did catch came flipping laydowns. The most productive ones were on the ends of points in 2-3 feet of water.

Caught the big smallmouth on a custom black and blue crankbait. The rest of my fish came from weed edges with black and blue wacky rigs. The New Alpha point fish stuck em good and the barb on them seemed to hold the fish better than any other ones I've used so far.

Throwing bladed jigs like a Vibrashock or a spinnerbait around grass with current was key to a productive day on pool 12. Our biggest fish only around 3.5lbs, but caught lots of fish in the 2.5lb range. As the sun came up a terminator popping frog started to produce some quality bites as well. Key to the bite was finding some good flow on the grass. If it was flowing through the grass and coming out the other side it was even better
