There is some vegetation, just starting to grow in the shallow 4 to 8 foot range near the aerator that is creating a bug hatch but be careful the ice is not the best

It was heavy submerged vegetation in shallow water. They were sucked up against the small heavy walls or edges in 2-4' fow. The water was clear and it was raining. The rain helped me get a little closer, but I still was casting a good distance. They were hitting anything with some finesse. I didn't have as much luck with heavy bait. All the bass caught seemed to be the bucks.

I was fishing from shore with a crank bait. I reeled in semi-quickly then let it rise for a second then BAM! I had a bass on.
