Was ice fishing for panfish and saw this smallmouth swim by on the AquaVu. Dropped a Ripple Shad to it 🎣🎄 Ice on McCaslin is 4-5" thick as of Dec 27th but a warmup with rain coming.

Late summer bass fishing in deeper cabbage. Strike King Menace Grub comes through the grass nicely on a weedless jig head.

Fish are still in winter pattern, had to fish very slowly on or near the bottom. But caught 17 in about 3 hours.

Despite surface temps warming into the 50's the bass have not yet moved shallow. Hours of sunlight is a bigger influence than water temp currently. Still need to fish very slowly in wintering areas.

Big pike on a tiny bait just after ice out, wt is 44.5 degrees. Smallmouth & pike are active, no sign of largemouth yet.
