Bucks were backed off of beds just out of sight, but staying close. Also seemed to be a second wave congregating at the mouths of small shallow coves

During the late summer a productive pattern I have found at Mayo is to look for drainage ditches coming off of steep banks. Look for laydowns nearby or better yet over hanging trees. Flip a wacky rigged senko in and let it fall slowly. Bass can't resist it. Other options in late summer are shakeyhead and spinnebaits. Have fun at Mayo.
