Water temps held a pretty solid 54.5 while we were out. Wind was nothing at the start but picked up to 15-20mph by the time we left (6:30-1:00). We eventually figured out a pattern of grinding square bills and/or jerkbaits off any hard bottom points then out over the drop off. As soon as the bait made the transition over the drop off they were getting nailed. This was easily repeatable and allowed us to catch good numbers while we were out with maybe 2/3 keepers and 1 of decent size. We also saw a herd of deer swimming across the lake.

Best fish, most fish came from burning a spinnerbait just below the surface. Had a few fish on the wacky rig throwing a lay downs and logs/stumps by the shore and breaks/points in the shoreline.

Water temp was 71, and visibility was about 2 feet. Seemed the bass were primarily chasing after schooling perch. The pattern ended up being wacky worms around fallen trees. We came in with 4 fish, unfortunately shook one off that wasn't hooked really well. Biggest one came off a rat-l-trap when it was getting dark ripped back in from the shallows.

Overall pretty terrible night for us out on this lake. Just couldn't find quality fish. Caught a lot in the 13-13.5" range, but only three keepers all right at 1.2lbs. The big bag of the night went up in the shallows all the way around the south end of the lake and pulled 17lbs in. We hit the laydowns and docks around the west side of the lake for our keepers.

By the raw mouths it looked like primary forage for bass right now in Maple is Blueish Craws. Started fishing around 6:40 and had what amounted to a 17lb bag by 11:00am. Water temp was 73-75 for most of the time we were out. Fish were out the middle during the early morning and popping on small baitfish, but couldn't get a lot of top water working. Was able to get a couple on a prop bait and a big popper. Once the sun came out the bass started moving up to the docks/laydowns and fishing got pretty good. Natural cover seemed to work the best with shallow diving crankbaits in blue/silver colors. We managed over 30 fish by the time we went in for the day, with only a few under 14" for the whole day. Target the laydowns with fast moving shallow divers (lipless or squarebills).

No wind, significantly humid, there was a cold snap the night before and the surface temp was pretty cool when we got out. Didn't have any luck on top water so threw a frittside for a while and caught some keepers. There was a lot of surface action going on where the squirrels were dropping things into the water from the trees and we picked up a few more bass in those areas. Eventually got onto a good jerkbait patter. Throwing up at the shadows and jerking back to the boat. A lot of them were hitting right at the boat. Caught a good number of keepers doing this. Also landed a 26lb carp.
