Got 5 today, first one on my 2nd cast with the Black/Blue flake swim n dinger and the rest on the watermelon pearl swin n dinger 5 inch. Day started off raining lightly and then the sun came out for a while with clouds and wind. All fish caught either in or along the edges of submerged vegetation. Tried a variety of colors but only got bit on the black and blue flake and the watermelon pearl. Fish were in no more than 10 feet of water and saw no signs of any beds

Put in at Randolph street and spent first hour tied up to the No Wake pole just off the ramp and caught 8 there waiting for the wind to calm down enough to go around with the trolling motor. Went left from the ramp fishing the docks, lily pads and reeds over to the next ramp and caught another 10. Most were on the Swim n Dinger Watermelon Red flake, a few on the swim n dinger watermelon pearl and 2 on the Thumpin Dinger in watermelon pearl. Biggest in the boat was 1.60lbs and only had 3 dinks, rest were over a pound. I had 7 get off that were only "sinker hooked" and 3 jump and spit the hook. I hooked a big one, felt the head shake, drag pull and then the line broke. Very weird as the line actually split where it broke like split ends of a woman's hair. Windy day starting out, cloudy and a little cool, but the fish were biting

Got 8 small ones today, biggest one pictured was 1.19lbs. that I got on a underspin first thing this morning. All the others were on the Swim N Dinger, ranging from .60lbs to 1.14lbs. Most bites were a good tap and then they were swimming away with it. Had a few follow the underspin but not bite, so I changed retrieve, bait color and they just didn't seem to want it. Switched and fished the Texas rig the rest of the day with most bites coming when it cleared the weeds.
