Tis the season of Ice fishing! Head out on Lake Wausau to see if we were able to find some pan fish. Started off slow at Radket Point with a few bites but nothing big. Was able to get a decent crappie out of there. Decided to move to the culver by the golf course and blue gils are stock there right now! Just using some wax worm will do the trick! Ice thickness right now is about 4-5 inches in most area.

Smallies are starting to feed up for the winter here in Central Wisconsin. You'll be able to find them sitting on top and near rock piles. Football jigs, Texas Rigged, Neg Rigged, anything small. Throw it pass the rock piles and slowly retrieve it back towards you. If you're hitting the Wisconsin River, red, black and yellow crank are working good. Find any deep holes and slowly work that area.

I was fishing for smallmouth thought I had no luck catching them. What I did have luck catching was a 44 inch Muskie fishing right along a channel swing.

Was able to catch a few smallies near the dam throwing a texas rigged strike king rage tail menace. Sadly there were multiple tournaments the week before and those that were on bed are no longer there.

Fished a kayak tournament, and over all it was a tough day, with most of the field failing to catch a limit. I had success fishing the shad from overhanging trees on flats in 6fow. The Max Scent Flatworm on a drop shot is all I could get them to bite on. I must have tried 20 other dropsho baits, as well as a variety of power fishing techniques without a single bite.
