Spring time in vermillion is so much fun. Lots of smallies in the 2-4 pound range. Throw a ned rig off of points or up shallow in bays. Having a good rod is so important if you don’t have one, I recommend getting one

Tried jigging. Scared fish away. Was ice fishing for 6 days. All fish on rattle reel. Handful of small walleyes. Dead stick with pink or red jigs and fluflu or plain red hook. Fathead minnows. . But fish are inactive and hard to fish for. Tried several spots. Deep water, shallow, rocks, transition. No real hot spot. 8am and 330pm seems to be the hit time of day.
