Throwing swim jigs around weed flats was the ticket, fish seemed to be scattered, and were grouped around baitfish that you could see. Very fun day with the best numbers I’ve ever had.

Sight fishing gills in 8 ft of water, they are not finicky so pulling right over them works just fine mid summer. Mostly scattered on weed flats.

Dragging a craw or slow rolling a swimbait in about 7-9 ft of water seemed to do it. As slow as you can go with the swimbait, and just popping the craw while bottom fishing it. Another technique that worked was burning a spinnerbait across the top of the water column.
