Lake Seminole is starting to fire. Fished 3 days and each day got better. Bass are healthy and fighting hard. They are moving up to get ready to spawn.

Found bass on deeper channel edges/points a well as in larger flats with submerged vegetation. Had the most action on a Megabass Uoze swim jig with underspin paired with a 4 inch spark shad trailer. Also had success with brett's bluegill jackhammer.

Water temps were in the low 60s. Flint and the chattahoochee rivers were both muddy from all the rain. We found fish in the mixed water and were catching them on chatterbaits. It seems that the brightest colors worked best. Fish are getting ready to spawn as well. The buck bass were up close to the cover making beds and it seems the ladies were just off the cover getting ready to spawn. We got them to react rather than slow ing down.

Fished from the 9th to the 11th of February. We had rain move in on Friday night and a small temperature drop on into Saturday and steady rain on Saturday. Fish had moved up shallow and were hitting the chatterbait pretty good around the grass. When the bite slowed down I would look for lilly pads and fish the speed worm with a 1/4oz pegged weight. The ate the junebug color more in the pads than any other color I tried. Dragging it over the pads and letting it fall. They would grab it on the way down. Water Temp - 62° - 64° Water Clarity - 3' Wind - 10mph Light Rain Air Temp - 58° - 61°

Spotted a few small males circling beds but for the most part I believe most of the fish were pre-spawn. This was a cold, windy, and very rainy day and my dominate pattern was rolling a 1/2 oz white spinnerbait through sparse lily pads and over the top of submerged grass. Drawing the fish out of the cover seemed to work way better and be more efficient than flipping/punching into it. Fished mostly back water ponds where the water was super clear but the rain/wind broke up the surface to help with the moving bait bite.
