Get in the thick of it with a heavier setup. Punching in thick weeds and holes in the cattails and reeds will produce bigger fish when they are looking for cover

Lake Sarah can be a great fishery in the late fall once the temps cool down and the recreational boaters and fair-weather fishermen have winterized their boats for the year. Try throwing a bladed jig around submerged grass. For best results, locate submerged vegetation near steep drop offs to find the bigger bites. Chartreuse-Sexy Shad was the favorite. but black/blue was a close second.

Hard to find good vegetation due to the heavy spraying currently on the lake. We found some good grass in 6-8 feet of water. Post spawners we’re feeding on bluegills in the grass.
