Late season stuff here, very cold water, have to do 5+ second pauses. Fish were located 7-10 feet down with access to deep water nearby. Also don’t worry about getting out early, fish 11am-3pm fish aren’t active or moving up to feed until later in the day as it warms up!

The hula grub on a football head is an amazing bait to throw when the bite gets tough or the water is very cold! Dragged it around some rock transition areas and managed to get some bites I couldn’t get on other baits!

Focused my time on rock points that were in direct sunlight, slow rolling with this flat sided crank with occasional pauses and change in speeds!

DT8 is $$$ in the fall, nice small profile with a tight wobble. Had a lot of success just covering water on rip rap shoreline, and taking more time switching casting angles when cover any points or sudden changes.

Found some large boulders in the sun near rip rap holding heat as well as bait, finesse football and Carolina rig were the only baits they would hit! Downsizing both was the key once I found the fish!

Had a lot of success slow rolling the heavy jackhammer along rip rap and rock piles, crawl the bait as slow as you can while you can still feel the blade vibrating!
