First outing of the year, water was dirty and high, found a nice current break on a rip rap point and the smallmouth were stacked!

Ice had just come out a couple days before. Water temp started at 39 and ended the day at 41. We found most of the fish on isolated boulders out from the rip rap.

Shad
Water temps were around 48-49F this past weekend. Smallies were found staging around hard bottom points. Lipless crankbaits and jerkbaits were the best producers, wind helped the bite. Shad pattern jerkbaits w/ Chart bellies worked well & Red Craw lipless baits caught better than avg quality fish. 2-8ft depth ranges
