After many failed attempts fishing deep and lots of graphing I finally located the shad on steep rocky banks in 6 feet or less. With less than an hour left in the day I managed to catch a 4 pounder and 3 more over 2 pounds.

Fished Egypt on 12-31-21. Caught a ton of fish targeting bass relating to shad in 22-27 feet of water. We were using a flutter spoon, blade bait and A Rig. Overcast conditions with 10 MPH winds. Water temps were 54-55 with 4-5 feet visibility. The whole key is to graph. Use your electronics to find bass relating to shad.
