Fishing bobbers on docks on lake Noquebay can bring in some giant bluegill for you! Just use a night crawler and you’ll be catching fish!

Short outing before dark. Seemed like the fished were not really feeding. I was able to get a few to commit on the pitboss and rage bug. Some decent quality also. I had a lot of missed bites on a 6th sense swim jig. They were just hitting it and not eating it. I saw lots of bluegills and I think the bass are bluegill based right now.

Local Wisconsin Derby on Saturday the 23rd. Finding keeper bites became tough because of the amount of pressure on every inch of the lake. I managed to pull my keepers off docks with the jig and adrenaline craw trailer. Fish were caught deep also but nothing of size. I caught those fish on the big bite creature. Quick note my fish spit up crawdads in the livewell, a sign of what they are feeding on under and around the shallow docks.

Fished the lake on the 11th. Fish were active again same as a week prior. Good amount of fish up shallow. As normal finding a loaded dock was key. Every dock with a fish was good for 3-4 bites. A few goods way too get them to bite. Fishing a 3/8 pb&j jig was the most effective with the adrenaline craw as a trailer.

Fished the lake on the 4th. Had no luck out deep in traditional deep weeds. So adjusted and fished shallow where lily pads and reeds were mixed together. I caught some on a frog also. I think the largemouth were eating mostly bluegill and crawfish.

Fish were mostly out deep and off the bank. Anywhere from 7ft or deeper. Caught them flipping the Berkley pit boss to random patches of weeds, most of them you couldn’t see. Caught a few off the docks as normal also. Those came skipping the jig along with a few on the pit boss.
