It’s still been slow, but we got a big one to bite. Fishing shallow rock piles in the early morning and believe this one was still on bed. Came in at 8.13 on the Rapala scale

Targeted beds in the back of creeks and coves and pitching craws under docks on post spawn positions. Seems like the spawn is just about over on this lake.

Found a shad spawn early in the morning but with the super clear water they would not touch anything besides this transparent color Choppo. I could see the bass just come up and look at other colors and styles of topwater. Color was a huge factor and it showed with the very natural color soft plastics as well. Lost count on how many fish I caught after making the switch

This 7.56 boosted our bag to get a check for basschamps on a lake that is fishing really tough right now. Had to slow down and drag a drop shot around on offshore points to fill out our limit at the end of the day

Not any big ones but caught a lot of fish up shallow on bream beds or as fry guarders. Sometimes it’s just as fun catching numbers as it is catching the big ones.
