Smallmouth moving up shallow on rocky flats where they will spawn. Finicky bite, gotta be stealthy and bomb cast a jerk bait.

It was extremely tough this weekend 04/24/2021 during kayak tournament. Was able to pick off two though where as some got their limit. Water temps in the creek/river was 54° And 3-4 FOW which is where I found them. Caught them on the Stealth Feider jig with Googan rattling chunk

Fished for 9hrs on Saturday, and didn't catch a single fish. I tried every bait imaginable, and various pieces of structure to no avail.

Really tough day of fishing, no wind and sunny skies. I found 5 Largemouth in 8 hours by ripping a swim jig through sparse weeds.

Tough bite for me at our Wisconsin Kayak Fishing Club event on April 24th 2021. Early morning I was able to get 3 right away using a strike king rage tail menace. But ever since that the bite stopped. I was able to see them cruise right along the ledges in school but they wouldn't bite at all.

Super windy today but was able to find some fish on docks away from most of the wind. Fish were aggressive and smashing the swim bait. I chose a light jig head to effectively fish on pretty shallow docks without getting hung up in the muck. Can never go wrong with a Keitech. Lake was also very clear a good leader like the Shimano Mastiff was important to have on.

Fun day catching prespawn smallies dragging a dropshot with a variety of small plastics. Fish were definitely roaming over flats getting ready to spawn. These three baits are killer on dropshots and catching smallies is never not fun.
