Fall is some of the best time of the year for Smallmouth Bass. Use your electronics to locate humps, look for ones with bigger the boulders the better. Vertical Jig the Rippin Raps over the top of the hump. I like to use fireline and tie it directly to the mono but you can use a small barrel swivel to connect them, or use only mono. Check the last couple feet of your line often for nicks and abrasions . Good Luck!

As the water cool's the fishing keeps getting better. Use your electronics to locate mid lake humps. If you have side imaging or live you should be able to scan the hump. Work your way from deep to shallow and cast at the larger rocks or if you have a live cast past the fish and work your bait back to them. I use a braid mainline and tie a mono leader direct to the braid and tie direct to the bait or a small snap . Good Luck!

Use and know your electronics, side imaging is very helpful in finding schools. Look for mud bottom bays 20'-35' of water. On your side imaging the fish will look like a bunch of dots or grains of rice and on 2D sonar they will look like a upside down Christmas Tree. Park over the School and drop down to them. Jig it, twitch it, bounce it, bang it of the bottom, see what is working today, if the bite is slow tip the treble with a small minnow head. I use a braid mainline and you can tie the mono direct to the braid or use an small swivel to combine the lines. the bigger fish are normally in the bottom of the school. Good Luck!

Summer/Fall is a great time to vertical jig Rippin Raps on the humps on Lake Kebetogama. Use your electronics to locate active fish on the tops of the humps and throw back to them. Let the bait get to or almost to the bottom and give it a few rips and if you don't catch a eye right away move on to a new area or hump. 15 min tops before moving on. I like to tie a small barrel swivel between the mono and the braid. or you can tie the braid to the mono and use a snap swivel at the bait. When the fish hits, give it a second before setting the hook to let hit suck the bait into there mouth. Good Luck!

Fish around islands, and throw your spinnerbaits right next to the islands. You want that spinner right in all the Nooks and crannys we topped the trip off with a 41.75 and tons of mid 20s.

Fall is one of the best times for Crappie, use your electronics to locate a 30’ deep soft bottom basin. Drop to the bottom and reel up just above the fish and start working you jigging rap slowly. Watch how they react to your bait, you may want to tip the treble hook with a minnow head. If they don’t hit right away try playing keep away by raising your bait and trying to make them follow you. I like to use fireline with a short piece of mono with a swivel or tie the mono directly to the braid. Good Luck!

Love the Top Water! Use your electronics or a lake map to find a shallow humps. Start casting the deeper edge and then work your way up that way you won't spook the fish as much. I like to use a braid mainline but you could use mono for a mainline as well, if you use braid tie a mono leader direct to the mainline about 6' to 8'. When the Smally hits wait 5 seconds for it to be able to get the bait into is mouth, don't set the hook immediately. Use a moderate action if you have one. You can use a snap or tie direct to the bait, most of the time I tie direct. The bigger the rocks the better! Good Luck

Use your electronics to locate the fish, they will look like a Christmas Tree on your normal 2D sonar. Look over soft bottom areas in about 30' of water. I like to tie my mono to the braid giving about 5' of mono and putting the snap swivel on the bait. Jig above them slowly and when you feel them bite give a second before you set the hook. Good Luck
