Finally, no more cold fronts! It was a beautiful sunny day! Caught some on wacky rigged GYs. Cast them near points & they hit 'em on the fall. Don't forget a hat and gaiter, that FL sun don't play! 😅✌️

We had a warming trend all week and no cold fronts! Beautiful sunny day and finally, no high winds! Strategy was cast out parallel to the bank in front of matted grass. Threw a white Keitech swimbait on a jig head with underspin. Slow steady retrieve and then this big one shot out and choked it! Caught smaller ones on GYs wacky & a spin jig bounced on bottom. Don't forget a hat & gaiter. FL sun is brutal! GREAT DAY!

Fished after work. Had about an hour, hour and a half of daylight left. Went with my confidence bait, wacky rigged senko! Cast parallel to the bank in front of some vegetation. This pretty one hit it on the fall! Caught one other smaller one. I had a small split shot on the line, about a foot above the hook. Don't know why but it seems to increase my strikes, so I've always done it! Get yourself some GY's & split shot, you won't regret it! Beautiful sunset tonight! Any time spent fishing is time well spent! Tight lines...

Beautiful morning! Sunny day, calm winds, water was like glass! That's why I decided to try my luck with a top water lure at first, see if I couldn't get one of those heart pounding top water explosions! Threw the KVD Sexy Dawg. I love this bait & have caught good fish on it! Bite has still been tough, however, due to all the bedding activity still going on, so there were no takers! I had an appointment to get to so time was limited. Threw on my confidence bait & what tends to work when nothing else will, the trusty wacky rigged senko. Cast in several spots that looked "fishy" LOL. Rewarded with this nice one on the 2nd cast after I said to myself those often uttered, but rarely obeyed instructions, "last cast". 🤣 Hit it on the fall & it was a very subtle bite. Fought hard for it's size, pulling especially hard near the bank in a last ditch effort to get away! 😅 Quick photo & release & I was off to make my appointment a very happy gal! 😊✌️

Change in the weather really helped turn on the bite, it seems! Fished for about an hour & a half before sunset until just after dark. Wind was much calmer too! Caught a 3+ pounder casting a TX rigged, weedless senko, weightless on an EWG hook into some reeds in the shallows. Lost several after hooking them when they would come off while dragging them through the thick reeds. Caught another nice 3+ pounder casting into open water with a weightless, TX rigged bandito bug. Caught a couple more in open water on the senko. Great outing!
