Fished East Jefferson this last weekend for a fishing tournament. A lot of the bass I caught were in shallow water from a foot to four feet. The heavy fishing pressure made them difficult to catch at first but I made an adjustment that made a world of a difference and that was using a weightless Texas rig. Marking them and casting out to their area was what worked and pulled a lot of nice bass using this technique. Black and Blue flake was the best pattern for me, especially while using a Strike King Rage Bug.

Largemouth bass can be found on Middle Jefferson, especially this low water year. The bass are on sand and around laydowns. Use a 1/2oz spinner bait, chatter bait or big jig. Anything that resembles bluegill tends to get the big bits.
