Dead calm and sunny conditions. Weed line bite was still slow. Moved up into about 8-10 feet of water where I Started seeing good cabbage clumps. Most luck was dragging a jig through these clumps, a weightless wacky rig, or throwing a bluegill colored swim jig retrieved really slow. Big bites came on the jig.

Bass were gathered in a shallow bay with a maximum depth of 8 feet. Most of the bass were caught in under 3 feet of water by throwing a weightless wacky worm towards shore and slowly working back towards boat. Also saw a muskie resting on the bottom that had to have pushed 50".

Bass are abundant amongst weed lines. Having a braided line with fluoro leader was crucial to get the bass out once dug in. Looking for your transition points from hard bottom to cover was key. Also finding off shore structure resulted in some bigger bass 4+lbers.

Tons of bass up shallow this day cruising the bullrushes edges. Wacky rigged generals were the best on this day, gotta have the arsenal wacky tool and band to get 10+ fish out of every bait otherwise you will go broke. Kept on the outside of the reed edges with 360 during the cloudy times, when it was sunny it was very easy to fish edges. Fieder fly slow rolled worked great as well and took the biggest fish of the day.
