Smallmouth up on beds. Found a few largemouth on docks and pilings. A few on beds too. Hit them with beds like the Z-man TRD’s until they get mad enough to pick it up. Should be even better in the next few weeks.

Caught 5 decent keepers and lost 2 others on this tournament day. Landed enough to take home a 2nd place finish out of 17 anglers. The deal of the day was finesse, I flipped a small finesse jig into the front of tullies where pockets provided easy targets. this worked some times but the bit really was the most consistent with a wacky rigged senko around docks and other structure to include bouys! fishing is still tough, storm came through that caused the lake to turn very dark when compared to most Havasu fishing days. Mixed bags where caught the entire event, both species were biting but not as often.
