I fished the Harris Chain for about a week for a tournament. Full disclosure, finished middle of the pack for the derb. Ended up being a tough weekend overall. But I caught every one of my fish on a Z-Man Chatter Elite. I couldn’t get bites on a Jackhammer for some reason, thought it might be due to the gold blade but hard to say. Went with the Elite, changed the skirt to something more gold & white, and with the Berkley PowerStinger in Sun Gill and the fish were chewing it. Got plenty of bites, just couldn’t find the size i needed for the derb.

On this day we fished the GeorgeFest Derb outta the north end of Lake Eustis... 19.6 pounds for 4th Place, $1,000 We ran from Eustis immediately to Lake Griffin and spent the entire day on Griffin. Started out early on some schooling fish throwing an A-Rig. Livescope and A Rig put some serious numbers in our box and several doubles as well... GOTTA LOVE IT!!!! At 10:00 we bailed on the numbers/dinker pattern with about 10 pounds in the box. Went up shallow and launched the Devils Horse around some spawning areas and made two major upgrades. Wound up with a 7.61 lb'r and a 5 on that topwater bait. Giant blowups = Giant FUN!

We fished a huge area with plenty of submerged vegetation with some holes in it. Caught good numbers of fish, just not a big one.
