Water temperature was 60. Alternated using Feider Fly and spark shad to cover water looking for the biggest rocks. Cast a 3/32 TRD to boulders. Using 8lb braid to 8lb flouro leader with a 7'6" st croix legend elite and 40 size reel to make long casts.

The shad are on points, in the bays, or on humps in less than 20 FOW. I was casting a paddle tail on a jig head with a slow retrieve. For every other cast, I would use a yo-yo-type retrieve to mix it up. The SMB would hit hard, but you have to compete with all of the shad, so the bites can be few and far between.
