Water temps dropped quickly from previous weeks storm, delaying the spawn. No males were making nests or even shallow. Eventually found some egg laden females under docks, waiting for their counterparts to move shallow & build beds.

Slight water temp increase made fish a little more active. Nearly all fish came on points outside of coves & cuts in 5 - 8 feet of water. First few hours, there was no wind and most fish were caught on a Ned rig. Later the wind picked up (15 mph plus), with most of the catches coming on the swimbait.

Slight water temp increase, some fish were starting to chase. Crankbait fish were larger females, plastic worm fish were smaller males. Still mostly on main lake, in open water not relating to any cover.

Water temps actually dropped a little this week. Most activity was on NE points that had sun shining on them. Most fish were 5 - 7 ft deep.

Active first couple hours, slowed down as day progressed. Most fish in 3-6 ft, open areas (as opposed to near docks). Slow retrieve.

        58°

Even though water temps still below 60 degrees, many males & a few females moved shallow. Were in areas between docks, sheltered from wind, in 1 - 5 feet of water. Males weren't on beds yet, just being territorial. Females were a little deeper, waiting for beds to be created.

Fish were shallow, but a mid week storm stopped most of them from making beds. Males were in spawning areas 1 - 4 ft deep being territorial, females were mostly under docks. TRD worked the 1st hour plus, after that the senko rigged & fished like a fluke got most of the rest of the bites.

        61°

Even with a midweek storm, the water temp stayed near 60 degrees and the bass stayed shallow. Most of the females were still under docks, waiting for the males to make beds (only saw 5 or 6 beds). Rigged the Senko like a soft jerkbait (weightless) so it would glide down as opposed to just fall
