Fish were caught early, before 11 am, in 2 - 6ft in saltcedar, along river or creek channel bends and on wind blown points near deeper water. Used the cutter on the points, and the rage bug in thicker patches of saltcedar. 1/4 oz weight and a little chartreuse to the tails in the dirtier water.

      Bluegill

Flipping Texas Riged creature baits around stumps and shallow cover directly related to bluegill beds has been a awesome pattern the last few weeks here on E.V. Spence. Adding some chartreuse dip-n-glow to the tail has been the key to trigging the most bites around these areas.

This lake was fishing very tough. The outing started on Thursday and continued through Saturday. It was hot and windy the entire time. The air temp was over triple digits all three days. Early morning through the afternoon I could not get any bass to commit to any technique I tried. I had followers and some that swiped but did not commit. The bite turned on each day after 5:30p. Then it was topwater walking bait landing some decent-sized bass.
