We were able to catch some good fish in the shallows at lake Eufaula Alabama yesterday. The frog bite was excellent! We were also able to catch several good fish using a 7.5 inch culprit worm around grass lines and lay downs!

Eufaula has still been producing good bass around boat docks and brush piles. Using a 7.5” worm I various colors with a “un pegged” 3/16 ounce weight had produced the best bites. A spinner bait and walking bait has also produced good fish!

Focused north of Lake Point Marina, along the main river channel (Chattahoochee). Specifically, largemouth bass were holding (ambushing) prey along emergent grass beds that were placed sporadically along the bank (approx 10 ft off bank). As with any river system, these bass use the grass beds for cover, ambushing, but mainly just to escape the current. This pattern was HOT, but be sure to use typical flipping/pitching gear (50 lbs braid min) due to the heavy cover.

I struggled a bit on the first day of the Hobie Tournament of Champions, but by Day 3 I was leading the field on a very tough bite. The sudden cold front had pushed the larger bass out to deeper brushpiles. I found success fishing extremely slow on deep brushpiles with large, texas rigged worms and the occasional lipless cranks. Look for bass to stabilize and start to move shallow in preparation for winter, but don't forget to check those deeper structures. Bass are moving in and out through these structure points.

Lake Eufaula is known for it's offshore structure fishing. We targeted main lake ledges and ditches where schools of bass wintered. Bass are feeding up for the spawn and can be found on pinch points and bends in the creek/river channels. Spend time idling around in search for baitfish and the bass won't be far behind.

We’ve had a couple of good days out on lake eufaula the past two days. Using the super spoon jr around rip raff proved to be a good way to get bit. Slow rolling a spinner bait around submerged timber in 10-15 foot of water also produced good fish. The OG slim around rip raff and bridge pillars also produced fish but the best bites came from punching grass mats with the incredi-bug and the best mats where in around 5 foot of water anywhere there was live grass around. Also using the 7.5 inch culprit worm in various colors produced good fish around lay downs in water anywhere from 1-10 foot but all of the best fish were in around 1-5 foot of water. Good luck out there and tight lines 👍👍

It was windy and cold yesterday on lake eufaula but I was able tj catch several good fish slow fishing a worm around lay downs. With the cold front coming through the night before the bite was a tough but I found the slower I fish fished equalled more bites!
