Fishing was extremely slow, but once you found the speed at which your retrieve needed to come in, the bite heated up. It was a very cold night with water temps in the low 50’s.

Bite was good even with the cold front and north wind. Bass are moving up into the shallow grass pre spawn. Work grass patches in 3-6 foot thoroughly with white Jackhammer. Water temp in the low to mid 50's has them moving shallow. Also, work a black trixk worm on a shaky head or a bubba shot (drop shot with 2/0 offset worm hook) around the outside of patches to pick up fish that wouldn't commit to a jackhammer or that are more finicky. Fish well and put in that time on the water!

Was able to catch bass flipping boat docks. I had a 3/8 ounce weight and I moved to a 1/4 ounce. After moving to 1/4 ounce weight the bite got better.

Fishing just after a Hugh water event (7 plus inches of rain put lake about 3 foot high in a few day). Water was dropping and fish were tight lipped. Fishing was rough. First blue bird day in over week didn't help.
