Threw the beetle along the lily pads around where some bait fish were jumping. Was able to wrangle in a few decent sized largemouth.

The lake is fishing very tough right now. The fish are transitioning between postspawn and summer patterns, making them difficult to pattern with the given cover and structure. The best way to catch them is throwing finesse baits around the lay downs, vegetation and bluegill beds.
