Took the kayak out on a hot summer afternoon. Tossed a wacky rig by rocky shores and near docks and ended up catching a few smallmouth bass as well as a rock bass.

This will catch you smallies as well but the smallies tend to come and go if you target them specifically. But targetting lay downs and brush piles will get you largies using a wacky rig or grub trail. A jig should do the trick as well.
