It's no major secret the water on Lake Beauclair currently looks like a Pet Smart aquarium... It's beautiful! So what that told me was A RIG!!!! and Livescope of course :) Making long bombcasts to fish as far as 120 ft out with the big rig resulted in a bunch of fish. Many of which were in the 12-15 inch range but bites were extremely plentiful even with the unbelievable amount of boat pressure. SIDE NOTE... Caught my first ever quad on the rig! Check out my video! Hopefully this info will help you get a couple extra bites on your next outing!

We caught alot of big fish using clumps of eelgrass in beauclaire in practice. We were slow rolling and working a swimjig through the tops of said eelgrass clumps. The grass clumps were in 5-7 foot of water and topped out around 3-4 feet under the surface.

We were targeting eel grass lines using sonar to find the hard edge and fishing a fluke extremely slow. Water is very clear but fish were very pressured so a natural slow moving presentation was needed.

As the week progressed, pressure started getting to our fish with all the boats around. These fish were seeing alot of reaction style baits and a lot of magnum full sized worms. When I downsized to the mag finesse worm, I caught a 5 pounder within a few casts. Throughout the rest of the day this worm would catch fish when nobody else was getting bit.
