Fish were pushing up in afternoon on rock and transition banks. Flatter banks were better. Points on main lake also good.

Key on main lake points. Bass are moving to pockets and pushing shad up on rocks near these points. Don't just fish the points, fish the rock and boulders leading to points and don't be afraid to throw into "non-cover" areas (ie. open water) because bass are not always relating to cover. They are roaming. Use smaller bladed jigs and flat-sided/squarebill crankbaits (1.5) in these areas in shad color.

Mixed Up Bluegill Colored Crankbait and Chatterbait on boulders and rock in 1-10' of water to get 7 LMB with largest being 4.3lbs. I didn't see any bluegills in the area...but once I changed colors to Bluegill patterns on both baits started getting hammered. Probably due to dingy water color...was more visible to the bass. Water has cooled down 10 degrees in less then 2 weeks

Females have spawned out and moved down to deeper timber. Males are guarding beds/fry anywhere from 1-6’ bite is soft and have to watch your line. Fish are in submerged vegetation, hydrilla near rocks and small bushes with 1-2’ of water. Boulders and shale rock 4-6’ deep.
