Find good milfoil with hard bottoms and found better than average largemouth on Texas rigged tubes and jigs. Scanning edges of grass lines with scattered rock produced smallies on dropshots

Points
First time on the lake, pulled up on a weed point off a large flat and caught largemouth on deep cranks and swimbaits. We were able to duplicate this on a few similar spots throughout the lake. As the sun got high and the wind died a bit, we switched to bottom crawling baits(ned, football jigs) on hard spots and caught a few smallmouth as well. The key seemed to be patches of coontail outside of the milfoil flats.

Pitching a jig to the holes in the tallest grass on humps and points produced a good bite with good sized fish, the best locations and bites usually had a school of bluegill within 10ft, beyond that 10ft the bite was somewhat slower

Targeting the larger reef structures in the lake with small flats at points along the breaks provided numbers of schmedium smallies. Moving slightly deeper and parking a ned rig among the scattered rocks and then dragging it short distances after lots of waiting produced larger fish. Moving around the targeted structure and hitting it from different angles worked well to pick up a couple extra bites.

Submerged Vegetation
The most productive submerged veg seemed to be anything growing in a narrow strip along a steep break or isolated clumps on reefs. Tossing a 3/8oz jig with the smaller beaver style bait was a big key to getting bit, the compact jig and trailer combo falling slower in the clear water would get hit on the fall or immediately after hitting bottom most of the time. 4" jig worm on an Outkast Money Jig stuck em too.

Tons of largies and smallies off of the steep drops with a drop shot. Twitching it faster seemed like a great retrieve. The steeper rocks and sandy humps held smallies mixed in with largies and the steeper weed edges held only largies.

Found both Largemouth and Smallmouth on the outside weed lines as well as on the multiple humps throughout the lake. Caught a few on the neko rig as well when the wind wasnt too bad but the best luck was with the drop shot. Even found this 39 1/2" Muskie on an off-shore hump with the drop shot.
