When Bass are focused primarily on Shad umbrella rigs are an extremely strong tool. Pay close attention to center bait color to give fish a target. Deference in color or action can increase hook ups.

Water is stained from all the rain. But I managed to pull a great sack of fish with these baits my largest weighing in at 6-9.

Fished Jordan Lake today mostly in New lake area with current running. Looked for Shad balls with the Bass hanging out underneath. Dragged a swim bait through the ball and caught a few 2 pounders. Caught another 2+ pounder on a Megabass Vision 110 Sexy Shad Jerkbait near the break wall within New lake. Once current shut off so did the bites.

Fishing was tough. Calm water and stained due to all the rain. Lots of debris in the water. Went into the Weoka Creek area and fished around the Cypress stumps and docks. Caught two 2 lb Spotted Bass Wacky Worming it around docks. Tried a Magdraft and had a couple follow it but no commits. Used FFS at the openings of the creeks in 20 feet of water, lots of baitballs but with a damiki rig dangling it I could get some interest but no bites. Never went farther than mid-river. Perhaps its better up near the dam.
