I had a lot of success fishing a neko rig green senko in green pumpkin. Cast it out into the vegetation and let it fall. It was getting hit on the fall or on a reaction strike after ripping it through the grass.

I was targeting the weed line in about 8 to 10 feet of water. I would throw up to the weeds and the worm would either get hit on the drop or on a reaction pulling it through the weeds. I used a texas rigged worm. Weight - 3/16 oz tungsten worm weight Hook - 3 offset Lure - Berkley Power Bait 7" worm Color - Black or Green pumpkin

On this late spring trip, you just needed a variety of colors for your Senko Style bait. We were Wacky Rigged with no weight. If you could target the ledge where the weeds dropped into that clear water, you were set! I am talking a good day for everyone. Bait caster or medium heavy spinning gear and some good line and the corect style hook and wow!!! The bite was unreal!
