Spent a good hour and a half flipping the grass with a Texas rig and it wasn’t very production. Switched to a jig and caught 17” my first cast and a smaller 14” the second. The rest of the time was more of the same. Cruising the weed flats and slowing working through them and watching the pockets and irregularities in the grass.

Didn't find big fish. Plenty of 10 to 12. A few in the 13/14 range. Little lake with weeds submerged and on surface. Cattails and reeds in spots.

Great little lake that hold plenty of largemouth bass, many of them sized nicely Shoreline is largely natural with some moderate development. Plenty of structure that holds fish no matter which direction you leave the launch: downed wood and lillypads all over, docks, stumps to the west -- plenty that holds fish. Launch is a little shallow with no dock, which keeps the boat traffic down a bit for my fellow kayakers. On a medium action with some lighter line, tie on a weedless wacky hook with a senko on an o-ring and fire away at any pocket along the shoreline. Punch a neko weight in the bottom of your senko to pick up the cadence.
