Both largemouth and smallmouth can be caught in the summer fishing wacky rigs, throw through and along weed lines near creeks or rivers flowing in or out in 5-10 feet of water I typically use a weighted head here as the bass tend to be a little deeper like 7-10 feet sometimes along weed lines

Looking for trout in 50fow. Lots of mark coming in and out. Had a couple fish on but came unbutton. 1/2 oz glow spoons tipped with fatheads. The smelt were thick so that could be why the trout weren't picking out the spoons. Still plenty of ice, 20 plus of good ice with 8 to 10 inches of frozen snow melt.

Smallmouth seemed to be hanging around submerged wood and fish cribs around 15'. You could toss a mid strolling bait over the structure and coax fish to come out and eat. We also found schools of smallmouth hanging around tapered break lines off main lake points in the north end of the lake. Dragging (aka swimming) a 3" Hazedong shad on a dropshot triggers bites in these schools. Smallies were roaming around these tapered breaks chasing minnows/bait. We hit the shallow rock and gravel but couldn't find fish. We fished hair, tubes and jerkbaits and got no action. Dropshot was our biggest producer.
