Following perch schools was key, fish caught in multiple depth ranges biting on the drop most times. Schools tend to move shallower when the sun would pop out and then push deeper once clouds came back and as it got later in the day.

Flipping jigs around docks in the backs of pockets. water temp was 10 degrees higher than on the main lake. Large mouth were on beds also found post spawn fish under docks.

The clients started chasing smallies in the shallows and then when the sun warmed the water we made the move to rocks with wacky rigged senkos and targeted largies as this was an Am 4 hour trip. The clients had a decent morning bite and I can’t wait to guide them again.

Since the morning trip was targeting Largies and the sun was high I made a move to find some smallies since this boy had never caught one. We went over some rock piles in 12 feet of water and found some. The afternoon bite as great.
