With the water temps being the hottest they’ll be all year a large population of fish are suspending. These fish sit right on the thermocline chasing schools of gizzard Shad.

Large pods of bait are suspended out over channels. The wipers sit just below these pods on the ledges. They become easy to catch when they’re up in the pod of bait feeding or when they’re sitting alone on the ledges waiting for bait to move across.
