We caught tons of fish today offshore on stumps and logs with Texas rigs and drop shots. The biggest one we caught was a 4.4 on a crankbait. Fish are spread out and the best biting window is between 7am-9am.

Spent a long time throwing the flat-sided cranks to no success. Switched to a drop shot in a dark green pumpkin/blue laminate and they crushed it.

Goose creek Reservoir is on fire out deep. If you use side scan to find bluegill beds you will find bass. The bass are keying on the bluegill beds and using a dropshot is a great way to catch them. Set up the dropshot with a foot leader and slowly work it over the beds. Happy fishing!!!

Fishing the Lowcountry Kayak Anglers tournament - finished 4th fishing almost exclusively a big worm. Flipping a Zoom Craw Worm up into standing timber and sunken trees. No topwater bite, no Chatterbait bite, no action on finesse - had to go with a tried and true summer pattern.

Fish are hanging around pads and seem to want a medium fall rate I use 1/4oz or 3/16 texas rigged. Dab in Baitfuel and let the bait sit for a few seconds then start working it.

COVER SHOT. If you haven’t tried it, you’re really missing out. More finesse than a Texas rigged worm, more weed less than just about any other finesse technique - fantastic when fish are grouped up. I found them about 1/3 of the way into cuts and creeks, schooled up and waiting for baitfish schools. Started with a red crawler color in the morning, transitioned to a dark watermelon color once the sun was up. Try this technique - works great on pressured fish.
