I actually use a standard pad crasher in the "dart" color. There are a lot of 12 to 15 inch bass but I did catch one over 4 lbs!

Never heard of it? Most haven't. My wife and I love this lake as it's so quiet, especially being surrounded completely by state forest. I had a lot of success using wacky for largemouth in the late afternoon shadows, and drop-shot for smallmouth on the drop-offs. A 6" X-Zone stick lamintate with pink and green pumpkin was the trick, and the only color they'd regularly take. I use smaller #2 hooks and the only time I miss a set is when the plastic wraps itself around the hook.

LM were up close to the shore and under the lily pads. The SM seemed to be feeding more and could be found in open water, in the lily pads, and under fallen timber.
