Fished the Hobie BOS on the Fox and Wolf River. I chose to fish the Fox out of Kimberly. Over the 2 days I caught 33 Bass (32 Smallmouth 1 Largemouth). only 12 of the 33 were over 12 inches. I was fun Fishing as I love dragging a jig. Only thing that sucked was finding size.

There might be a million smallmouth in the Fox River and they all are hungry. They are also mostly 10 inches long. There is some hidden size, I've found a few over 15 inches. Most of your day will be spent putting on a new flatworm because another angry 10 inch smallmouth tore it to shreds.

I fished the Great Lakes Kayak Fishing Series tournament Sunday. I choose to fish the Fox River in Kimberly. The fish were definitely biting as I caught 32 smallmouth in 8.5 hours. Lot of culling for size though. I ended up with 80.25 inches but most of my fish were below 14 inches. The key to the bite for me was throwing slow moving baits like a drop shot and micro jig. everything was on rock mostly in 5 to 7 foot of water.
